Minutes of Special Meeting
April 4, 2020
The Larchmont Public Library Board of Trustees met via zoom on April 4, 2020, attended by Library Board Chair Lauren Gottfried (LG), Board Trustees Jennifer Conley (JC), Barbara Flickinger (BF), Barbara Liptack (BL), John McGarr (JM), Linnet Tse (LT), Library Director Laura Eckley (LE). Board Trustee Casey Halliley was absent.
Board Chair Lauren Gottfried called the meeting to order at 2:12pm.
Trustee JM made a motion, seconded by Trustee BL, to approve the following resolution, which the Board then passed unanimously: Resolved, that the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Larchmont Public Library (the “Library”), having completed a Roof Investigative Report for the Library building has determined the need to move forward with the replacement of the rear section of the Library roof and additional repairs as outlined in that report. And Further Resolved that the Board authorizes Library Director Laura Eckley to enter into a contract with the architectural firm Lothrop Associates LLP (“Lothrop”), Lothrop, to provide services to outlined in their proposal dated March 16, 2020, including roof design, creation of bid documents and construction management, at a cost not to exceed $30,500.
The Board voted unanimously to approve Board Chair Lauren Gottfried to authorize bill payments on behalf of the Library Board through the end of the FY19/20.
Board Chair Gottfried adjourned the meeting at 2:15pm.
