Kanopy Kids. All ages. An educational, enriching and entertaining service that allows you to stream hundreds of videos for FREE! All you need is your Larchmont Public Library card to start watching and discover your new favorite videos! Kanopy Kids is compatible with android, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Roku, chromecast, and fire tablet.
Libby. Target Audience: All ages. Libby can be used to download both eBooks and Audiobooks for all devices. If you have a smartphone or an advanced tablet–like device like an iPad, Nexus or a Nook HD,you can install an app which enables you to download directly to your device. For Kindles, check out your book in Libby and download it from Amazon for free. Log in with your library card number and pin number to see our full collection. Your pin number is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you’ve changed it.
Oxford Owl. Target Audience: Preschool through Elementary. Create an account for access to their free eBook library.
Freading. Target Audience: Preschool to Adult. If you are looking for downloadable picture books, the popular Classic Starts series, the Big Nate series and a whole lot more, this is your source! This site uses a token system. Each person is given ten tokens a week. Books cost one, two or four tokens, depending on the value of the book assigned by the publisher. For example, each book in the popular Big Nate series costs four tokens. Freading users must install Adobe Digital Editions software before downloading books.
ComicsPlus. Target Audience: All ages (some of the comics definitely require parental guidance). A wide variety of comics to check out and read in your web browser. You have to be online to read what you’ve checked out.
