The Library’s Puzzle-Lending Program

The Library’s Puzzle-Lending Program

If you visit the library, you might have noticed we have an entire shelf of jigsaw puzzles. You might also have wondered… what’s that about? Well, besides grabbing a book or movie for the colder weekends at home, you can also grab a puzzle (or two) as well! We have a wide array of puzzles, varying in sizes (mostly 500 & 1000 piece) and subjects. You are more than welcome to check out a puzzle by bringing it to the Information Desk and giving the librarian your library card. There is no real time limit on how long you can keep the puzzle- just return it when you’re done!Read More Read More

  • Any museum passes you want to book will have to be booked over the phone or in person by speaking to a Reference  librarian at the Information Desk. Our number is (914) 834-2281, ext. #3. Please call during business hours.
  • To avoid double-booking, we will not accept any email requests or phone messages.
  • The same parameters will be in place for how long a patron can have a pass.

Fall Book Preview

Fall Book Preview

Our librarians, Caroline and Alex, hosted a Fall Book Preview earlier this week at the library. Fall is the perfect time to grab a cup of tea (and maybe an apple cider donut from the Larchmont Farmer’s Market) and relax under the covers with a good book. Lucky for you, the new season brings with it an abundance of new books ranging from the Barefoot Contessa’s much anticipated memoir to a historical fiction novel about the making of Veuve Clicquot champagne and a new title from Paula Hawkins. Our circulating jigsaw puzzles are available on the main floor of the library, in the New Books room, adjacent to the music CDs. The Bruce Museum Pass is Back!

The Bruce Museum Pass is Back!

The Bruce Museum, in Greenwich Connecticut, has reopened after undergoing a major remodeling and expansion project which began in late 2020. The Bruce added a new 44,000 foot wing to their building as well as a cafe, auditorium, indoor garden and spaces for exhibits. Their art collection now includes pieces by Picasso, Matisse, Renoir and Cezanne… just to name a few! The library is delighted to have this pass back in rotation along with our other thirteen museum passes. As always, we have the Friends of the Larchmont Library to thank for their continued support which makes the library’s Museum Pass Program possible.Read More Read More
