Minutes of Special Meeting

December 11, 2024

The Larchmont Public Library Board of Trustees met on DATE, attended by Library Board Chair Lauren Gottfried (LG), Library Trustees Jill Brennick (JB), Galit Lopatin Bordereau (GLB), Barbara Flickinger (BF), Barbara Liptack (BL), Celeste Sharpe (CS), Linnet Tse (LT) and Interim Library Director Liam Hegarty (LH).
Library Board Chair LG called the meeting to order at 6:34 pm.

Committee Reports

Finance

Schedule of Bills and Performance Report: The Board unanimously approved the schedule of bills and the additional list of bills dated December 11, 2024.

Facilities

LH reported that the Library has received a grant check from New York State pertaining to the Elevator Retrofit. Upon a motion by Barbara Flickinger and seconded by Celeste Sharpe the Board unanimously passed the following resolution: Resolved: in order to facilitate the repair of the main building’s elevator, the Larchmont Public Library Board of Trustees hereby directs the Treasurer of the Village of Larchmont, James Cazzorla, to establish a project, 2024 Elevator Retrofit Project.

Upon a motion by Barbara Loomis Liptack and seconded by Celeste Sharpe the Board voted unanimously to enter Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter at 6:45 pm.
Upon a motion by Galit Lopatin Bordereau and seconded by Jill Brennick, the Board voted to exit Executive Session.
Upon a motion by Barbara Flickinger and seconded by Linnet Tse, the Board voted unanimously to hire Andrew Farber as Library Director.
Upon a motion by Jill Brennick and seconded by Celeste Sharpe, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7 pm. The next scheduled meeting of the Board will be held on January 15 at 6:30 pm.
