Fiction Room Closure extended a few more days

Although the vast majority of the HVAC project in the Fiction Room is done, it doesn’t look like we’ll make May 17. We are waiting for the finishing touches on the HVAC work and, once that is done, the dropped ceiling will be reinstalled. We took advantage of a lull in construction to put back the shelves that were disassembled but much of the collection is still wrapped to protect it during the ceiling work. During this time patrons can browse the new books rooms and lower level nonfiction, but there will be no access to older Fiction, Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy and Short Story titles, even for staff. Holds can be placed for these older titles and will be filled by our neighboring Libraries. We thank you for your patience while our building is being improved. Note: this delay will not affect our plans for extended Library hours etc.
