Adult and Reference Services
Traditional paper and microform resources are augmented by an array of electronic resources. Thousands of periodicals and newspapers are available online in full text along with abstracts of thousands more.
PCs for word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and more are available for public use.
Internet access is available from terminals and through a wireless network at the Library.
There is always a reference librarian to help you get the exact information you are looking for, whatever your age or subject.
Phone reference is available during regular hours by calling 834-2281 x3. You can email a question to larchmontlibrary@wlsmail.org and we’ll get back to you within a day (a little bit longer on weekends).
Young Adult Services
Teens and young adults will find a section of reading material appropriate for middle school students. Reference help with papers and homework assignments is always available from the reference staff.
Children’s Services
Story Times are offered are offered for a variety of ages. Other special programs and events are offered monthly. See the Children’s Monthly Calendar for details.
Internet access is available from terminals in the Children’s Room.
Class visits on–site or in the schools may be scheduled with the Children’s Librarian. The Children’s Room phone is 834-2281 x.4.
Reserves & Loans
Any circulating item in the collection of any Westchester public library except Express items may be requested by a Larchmont patron using either a terminal in the Library or any terminal with Internet access. Patrons may also call 834-2281 for assistance. The patron will be notified when the item is available.
