July 22: The Battle of Winchelsea in 1350 – a battle between Castilian pirates and the English navy.
August 5: The Battle of Jargeau in 1429 – Joan of Arc led the French assault on this English-occupied town.
August 19: The Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1099 – a brutal battle between the British and the Danish.
