Vote411.org replaces printed Voter Guides

The League of Women Voters of Westchester is no longer printing out physical (paper) Voter Guides. As you might recall, these handy booklets contained useful information about upcoming elections such as polling station locations, ballot initiatives, candidates, etc.
Now, voters are encouraged to visit the League of Women Voters’ national website, www.Vote411.org. If you enter your home address, you can view your polling location as well as election deadlines and a full list of current races. You can also print a list of your potential votes/candidates to bring with you on election day. Unfortunately,
a number of voters who relied on the printed guides are the same voters who tend to be more unfamiliar with computers. If you know of someone who misses the paper Voter’s Guide, but is not ‘good’ on the computer, please tell them to stop by the Information Desk at the Library. The librarian there will be glad to get them started with Vote411.org. The League has also created these instructions for download.
