Paul Treacy is a Larchmont Local who lived in Larchmont from 1974 to 2023. He loves painting Abstracts in every medium. He used to draw and paint Manor Park and the Rye Marshlands often.
Paul met Kitty O’Callaghan at the Mamaroneck Artist Guild several years ago and they hit it off artistically. They often paint together and feed off of each other’s enthusiasm for Art. Both artists are trying to connect with the soul of the viewer through image and color.
Kitty O’Callaghan is a New York-based artist who works in a variety of media, including oil painting, collage, encaustic, and fiber. Originally from Wisconsin, Kitty draws upon familiar pastoral references to create uncanny scenes verging on the surreal. Kitty earned her bachelor’s degree in art history from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., followed by graduate studies at the University of Chicago. In the early 1990s, she moved to New York to work as an editor at Art & Auction magazine and won a National Magazine Award for writing while at Time Inc’s Parenting Group. She has written for various print outlets, including O, the Oprah Magazine, Self, and the New York Times. Kitty is a juried member of the Mamaroneck Artists Guild/MAG Gallery, the Rye Arts Center, and an artist member of Arts Westchester in White Plains, New York. She has exhibited in various juried, and group shows in Westchester and is currently earning her MFA in painting at Western Connecticut State University.
