There is nothing for the books to drop into. Also, even if the door is sometimes ajar, please don’t wander in looking for somewhere to return your books. It is only open because workmen are going in and out. So far, they have kindly taken items from lost patrons and given them to us to be checked in. So far. Please go to the Village Center or, if we are closed, use the drop to the left of the Children’s Room entrance.
We’ve also had some patrons suggest that the Library is too quiet to be in the middle of a construction project. As librarians, a complaint about lack of noise puzzles us, but we get the drift. So, to satisfy both the suspicious and the curious minds, here are some photographs. Bear in mind that, in a previous career, your webmaster was told “as a photographer, you have a great future as a writer.”

More Pictures Coming Later
We don’t want to interfere with the workmen, so we don’t have pictures of all the areas under construction. Here’s some of what to expect in the future:
- Quiet Reading Room with glass doors
- Brighter, more open, Public Reading Room
- New Tutor Room
- Combined Circulation and Information Desks
What you won’t see is pictures of the electrical upgrades which will allow for better wifi and power for personal devices.
