New Job Information Center

We have a brand new section at the library called the Job Information Center. Located in the Technology Commons, the Job Information Center will have books, study materials, and practice tests for those interested in learning a new skill for a particular job. We have everything from X-Ray Technician to Social Case Worker. This section also includes study books for tests including the GMATs, GREs, MCATs, LSATs, TASC, Civil Service, and more. National Library Week- The Inner Workings of the LPL Part V

To check out items, you need to bring your library card. There are two ways you can do this. One is using a physical card and the other is using a digital card. There is an app you can download called the Westchester Library System where you can add your card digitally. Most of the time everyone has their phones so this is a great alternative if you forgot your physical card at home. The Solar Eclipse is over so now what do you do with your pair of glasses? Recycle them of course! There are a few organizations that will take them off your hands. Check out Astronomers Without Borders. They will have a list of places you can donate your glasses to. Some of the places are donating the glasses to other countries that have upcoming eclipse events. Warby Parker is collecting used solar eclipse glasses as well.
