Due to COVID closures in 2020 the Westchester Library System (WLS) increased the checkout limits on Hoopla and Kanopy. WLS kept those higher checkout levels as long as possible, but the rising costs of allowing these extra checkouts have become too expensive.
Starting November 1, 2025 monthly borrows will return to pre-pandemic levels of 5 borrows for Hoopla and 30 Tickets for Kanopy.

Tutor.com is a digital resource that the Larchmont Library offers in collaboration with the Westchester Library System (WLS). You can get live online homework help (9am-10pm daily), take SAT or ACT practice tests and improve your college application essay, resume or cover letter with an outside review.
Tutor.com announced an update to their tutoring topics and it’s very exciting! They are adding CTE (Career and Technical Education) subjects in addition to their other adult career and job tutors that work with students to help with questions about Excel, Python, and Java.Read More Read More
Hoopla is working to update the Samsung TV Hoopla app to include BingePass and SeasonPass! In the short term, that means the app is temporarily unavailable for download. Users who currently have the Hoopla app installed on their Samsung TV will be able to use the app until Monday, August 18, at which time the app will no longer be accessible. We’ll pass along information from Hoopla when they reach out with further information once the new app is available for download and reinstallation.Read More Read More

Through the FamilySearch database in our Online Resource webpage you can search a huge archive of historical documents and make your own family tree. You can gain access through the library’s computers, make an account and start researching!
FamilySearch expanded its free online collections in June 2025, with more than 30 million new records from 8 countries. Some of the exciting new additions include 16 million Italian birth, marriage, and death records (civil registrations, 1804 to 1943), 5 million Brazil cemetery records (1799 to 2024), and nearly 1 million records from the American Medical Association (AMA) of deceased physicians (1864 to 1968).
