Our Centennial celebrations continue! In May, we celebrate the 1960s with three Twilight Zone programs!
On May 12th, join us as we screen two episodes of the original Twilight Zone, Time Enough at Last and To Serve Man. May 14th is The Making of the Twilight Zone with guest speaker, Sal St. George. Finally, on May 30th, join us as we host the Lions Club for a live recreation of one of the greatest Twilight Zone TV & Radio episodes.

FamilySearch Announces Collaboration with America250
“Together, We Build America’s Story”
FamilySearch International announced its collaboration with America250, the national, nonpartisan organization charged by Congress to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. FamilySearch will support America250’s mission to celebrate unity, heritage, and progress by inviting individuals, families, and communities across the nation to remember, discover, and add their own stories to expand America’s collective narrative and connect us all. The Library’s 100th Anniversary Year Has Arrived
Each month, we will have programs based on a particular decade over the past 100 years. At the end of this year, we will have a huge celebration in November! This month, we will have programs based on the 1920s. Check out our book groups, movies and history programs.

It’s November already and we have some great upcoming programs to highlight. Yoga and Chair Yoga have returned on Fridays in the Village Center. November 18th there is a program called Herald in the Holidays with Less Stress. We will also have Chris McCormack returning for a program about Exploring Our Colorful World on the 20th. Don’t forget about our Notary Services that are starting this month too! They will be offered on the first and third Tuesday of the month. FamilySearch-New Free Historical Records
Did you know that you can research your family’s history in the library?
Through the FamilySearch database in our Online Resource webpage you can search a huge archive of historical documents and make your own family tree. You can gain access through the library’s computers, make an account and start researching!
FamilySearch expanded its free online collections in June 2025, with more than 30 million new records from 8 countries. Some of the exciting new additions include 16 million Italian birth, marriage, and death records (civil registrations, 1804 to 1943), 5 million Brazil cemetery records (1799 to 2024), and nearly 1 million records from the American Medical Association (AMA) of deceased physicians (1864 to 1968). Museum Highlight: Dia Beacon
As many museumgoers know, the Dia Art Museum in Beacon is a phenomenal place to visit for its beautiful grounds and inspiring artwork. But one thing you might not know, is that the Dia Museum has two other (smaller) locations in New York! Dia Chelsea and Dia Bridgehampton are also part of the Dia Museum family and you can use the library’s pass to visit them as well.
