Attention WLS app users!
The WLS app has stopped working.

Attention WLS app users!

The Westchester Library System will be launching a new app early this year. The WLS app you currently have installed on your devices no longer works for accessing your library account- this means you can no longer browse the catalog or place holds or check your account. It does still work for accessing your library card barcode.  If you want to place holds or view your account, you can use the online catalog. You can quickly do this from the old app if you click the arrow on the bottom right of the main page. Read More Read More

Museum Pass System is Changing Temporarily

Museum Pass System is Changing Temporarily

  • As of right now you will not be able to book museum passes online for any dates in 2025.  This change is temporary.
  • Any museum passes you want to book will have to be booked over the phone or in person by speaking to a Reference  librarian at the Information Desk. Our number is (914) 834-2281, ext. #3. Please call during business hours.
  • To avoid double-booking, we will not accept any email requests or phone messages.
  • The same parameters will be in place for how long a patron can have a pass.

Scan for free at the library

Scanning is Free

Did you know that you can scan for free at the library? All you have to do is bring a USB. Our printer/copier can be used to scan documents onto a USB drive. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, you can borrow one of ours. Once the documents are scanned onto the USB, you can use our computers, or your own, to email the documents to yourself or another email address. Make sure to delete your document off the USB if you are using ours. A staff member can help with this if you need assistance.Read More Read More

Patrons’ recommendations

Did you know that the library website has a “I think the Library should buy” section?

You can recommend books that we have not purchased but you think would be a good addition to our collections. Just fill out the form. Although we cannot always guarantee we can get our hands on those, our librarians will certainly try!Read More Read More

New Museum Pass

The library has acquired a new Museum Pass for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York City.
