Museum Passes Are Back!

Our Museum Pass program, which is made possible by our Friends of the Larchmont Library, is one of the most popular programs we offer here in Larchmont. As many of you recall, Covid put quite a damper on all things ‘fun’ at the library including the suspension of our Museum Pass Program. The good news is that the library managed to get back on track… and the best news? The Museum Pass Program is now up and running! Our free passes are available for Larchmont Library cardholdersRead More Read More

“Vintage Made New” Quilts by Barbara E. Glab in the Oresman Gallery

Barbara Glab will be exhibiting quilts made by vintage fabric (1930-1950) that have been collected for some time now for the month of July and August. “I love to sew and it is almost like an obsession. When I go to bed in at night I can’t wait for the morning to come to go to my sewing machine. My list of quilts to make is long and getting even longer everyday. I hope you will enjoy seeing my exhibit.”Read More Read More

To mask or not to mask

To mask or not to mask

Following CDC guidelines, we no longer require that patrons wear masks when visiting the Library. We are, however, still recommending masks as many of our patrons (the elderly and immunocompromised for example) remain vulnerable. Masks are not just to prevent you from catching Covid, they also help prevent you from spreading Covid to others. The Library, like all heavily trafficked public places, has the potential to be a vector for spreading the virus. So when you come visit us, please consider wearing a mask to protect your neighbors. Don’t forget to pick up your free test kit, too.Read More Read More

A note about in-person programming

A note about in-person programming

As local vaccination rates are high and infection rates are low, we are restoring some of our  in-person programming for adults. When possible, our in-person programs will also be presented remotely, via Zoom, so patrons and/or presenters who do not wish for personal contact can continue to participate. Not every program will be presented in this “hybrid” and some programs will remain entirely on Zoom due to logistical issues, timing, and meeting room availability. Please check listings carefully.
